Congratulations to Maddie!

We have names! Kitten is now officially “Tigre” (Tiger, in Spanish) and “Teeg” for short. :-) Our winner is Maddie M. Please email your address so I can send your prize. Congrats, and thank you!

And here is a picture of our little guy as he’s learning to open his eyes!

Mama cat was a different story–my husband named her. He just kept calling her Zoie and somehow it stuck. He doesn’t get a prize, though! ;-)

Thanks to everyone who posted & emailed! I’ve always had dogs and never imagined myself caring for a cat, but I must say I’m in love!

Help us name our new family members! [Virginia Newborn photography, Virginia Beach Newborn photographer, Chesapeake family photography]

We are thrilled to have 2 new family members–a mama kitty and her baby newborn kitten! They are so sweet and our family fell instantly in love. But they need names! Any ideas? We want something creative and unusual, and it would be cool if the names “go together.” Email your suggestions to kristina@kristinawhitman.com. Our family will vote on the names and the winner will receive a $25 iTunes gift card!

It’s very cool to watch Kitty care for her baby. She is loving and attentive, but generous enough to share him with us. When not nursing or snuggling her baby she loves to sit on my lap or play with the kids. Kitten’s eyes are still closed but starting to open. He can’t meow yet and just says, “MEW, MEW!” when he wants mama. He’s so adorable.
